Sight: Painting a Still Life

“At Rest” Acrylic on Bristol Paper

I’m posting this for Illustration Friday’s theme “Sight”.  I’ve been learning that sight isn’t such an easy thing.  Sometimes the colors that I think I see aren’t the colors that are really there.  Sometimes the colors that are really there aren’t the ones that will look best in my painting.  Painting is a fascinating mix of training my vision to see what is truly there and developing my intuition to know what looks pleasing to the eye.
