Hooray for winter break! It was so much fun to have my little sister home from college. After going out to dinner together and accidentally drinking a pot of black tea we came home and I taught her how to do gelatin prints. Earlier in the day I had tried to cut out silhouettes of the kids as they “sat still” – HA! And then we cut up some Trader Joe’s bags too. The two prints on the right are done by inking up the gelatin and then laying a paper cut on top before printing. After printing twice you can lift up the paper cut and then print with the ink underneath. The image on the left was done with this method – the “ghost print”. (Just remember 2 Tbs gelatin to 1 cup water)
This looks so interesting! I’ve never heard of gelatin printing, but my mind is spinning with ideas after reading your post 🙂
I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with it!
