Daily Practice

Sometimes, creativity blooms from the simplest daily rituals. For me, it started with a quiet moment: just reading a poem to myself during a busy workday. Later, that same poem found its way into an ink drawing, and then into a linocut print. What began as a relaxing evening habit—drawing frames and patterns around my journal pages—grew into something I could share with others.

When I brought that little ink sketch to a workshop at Pyramid Atlantic, other artists’ eyes lit up. They saw something in it that I hadn’t even realized was special. That simple encouragement turned into a limited series of prints—a Rilke poem and leaves blowing in the wind—that I eventually shared at an art sale, connecting me with a whole new circle of creatives.

It’s amazing how a personal, almost meditative practice can become a bridge to community. And that’s why I’m inviting you to join me for an October zine workshop. We’ll take those small, personal moments—like a family recipe or a favorite line of poetry—and turn them into something we can share. Just like printmaking once spread big ideas, gathering together—even online—can spark new connections and inspiration. I can’t wait to see what we create together!
