Materials You’ll Need
This is a virtual workshop. Please gather the following materials:
Papers
- stiffer paper for the book covers (such as cardstock, catalog covers, or recycled packaging)
- softer paper for the inner pages (old Christmas catalogs work beautifully)
Cutting + Measuring Tools
- X-Acto knife
- self-healing cutting mat
- ruler
- scissors (optional but helpful)
Bookbinding Tools
- needle and thread (a bookbinding needle is ideal because it is firm and blunt)
- beeswax-covered bookbinding thread
- something to pierce holes in your paper
- you may use a sewing needle with an eraser behind it for safety
